Some idiot drove by with his bass on so loud it rattled the windows, but then an ice cream truck did too, and they were timed together perfectly. It was like someone was blasting "do your ears hang low".
Take that imposing stereo man!
I miss you, Benny.

Bye Bye Baby
You're gone, and so is Mum. I don't know what to say except this. I love you, and my love is not strained by these miles of distance. I love you.

New Picture of You Sent to Me Today
Mum sent it.
Didn't go to church today, Mum was busy, so was I. Things worked out for the best, and I got your picture. I should upload those at some point. Love you lots.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Happy First Birthday, Ben!
There were little kiddies crawling all over the place, at the Thai Orchid (I think that's where we were). You got a hug and high-five-in-the-face from a girl in the same minute-- the little girl who was asleep for most of the rest of the party. You didn't blow out your own candle, but a bunch of little helpers, who might one day prove to be your best friends, did it for you.
The relationships you form now are important, believe it or not! One of my best friends (Kevin) was a young un' with me back in the day! We partied like you did today, back in the nineties! My present to you (which was really from Grandma Wilson), was (the classic bedtime story) Goodnight Moon. Which brings me to a closing-- as it is rather late, and I have tonnes of work to do tomorrow.
Love you lots, Birthday Boy.
Goodnight!

1-1-2010
Tomorrow Uncle Willie is leaving my dad's place to return to Colorado. I have orchestra, private lessons, and homework to look forward to, plus church, plus goodbyes--- and then your birthday party. I do believe I shall ditch Church to finish my work, but I wouldn't miss your day for the world--- I didn't miss it last year! I was sleeping on the couch in the room where you were born right about now (11:30ish)
